Safehands Green Start Nursery in Swinton, Manchester
Safehands Green Start Nursery at Swinton is based with Swinton and Moorside children centre.
We are registered with Ofsted for 78 children from birth to five years. We have a 24 place baby unit which
is split into 2 areas for mobile and non mobile babies. We have a room for our 2-3 year olds and we are part of the ECAT two year old funding scheme, which focuses on communication with children throughout
the nursery, developing speech and language. Our Pre-school room caters for our 3 to 4 year olds preparing them for 'big school'. Our nursery offers FREE PLACES for 3 and 4 year olds.
We encourage children to be healthy by growing their own fruit and vegetables and working alongside our nursery cook to prepare them for their daily meals and snacks. We emphasise the importance of outdoor play for children ensuring they have access to fresh air all day every day. We have a fantastic outdoor play area, which the children can use freely throughout each day, whatever the weather.
Our staff team are highly qualified and this is evident from the activities and experiences they offer children each day. Each child has a key worker and will work with each child and their family to ensure they settle at nursery and enjoy their time with us. Each key worker will create a learning journey of your child's time with us, capturing each milestone along the way. This journey is shared with you each step of the way and is a fantastic keep sake for you when your child leaves nursery.
We have very good links with other agencies and professionals such as health visitors, speech and language specialists and advisory teachers all of whom have valuable input into the nursery, supporting children's learning and development.
