Our site is fully enclosed with no access possible to the building except through controlled entrances. CCTVÂ operate both inside and outside the building. The nursery entrance is fitted with a key coded security pad, and all doors are fitted with finger guards. All visitors must sign in, and are accompanied by a staff member at all times. Children can only be collected by an authorised person known to the staff. When parents first register a child we require passwords for the authorised person to use when collecting children.
Young Steps Nursery has an advanced fire alarm, smoke detection, and an emergency lighting system conforming to the latest British Standards. The outside play areas also conform to the latest British Safety Standards, thus minimising the risk of injury.
